I recently went to a little Swedish town with Amy a couple of Sunday's ago, but it was closed, completely. Because it was Sunday. It was sad because Amy was really excited to see it. She loves Sweden and has been wanting to see this town, as have I since hearing about it from my Uncle and his fiance who grew up in that city. We tried to make the most of our adventure anyway!

It was a bit reminescent of Solvang back at home. We did not yet get the full experience since we could only look in through windows! hehe... It's also not at all as touristy in this town (can't remember the name) as Solvang is at home. This town did have some very pretty churches though.I can say I do like Solvang more though-- what can I say, I'm biased!After walking around, we drove back to Fresno (about a 20-30 minute drive) and picked up some pizza and had lunch. But this pizza place is not your typical Pizza joint! It's my new fav. It's called Pacifica Pizza and besides being deilicious, they have awesome pizza boxes. My new fav little pizza place a couple of blocks away!
That night Mindy and I went to a So You Think You Can Dance tour show here in Fresno! I was so super excited for that because I followed the show all last summer! So did Mindy. Besides my Mom, she is the only other person in life that watches it, and I'm one of the only other people in her life that watches it, so we decided it was so worth it to go. And it was!!
It's been feeling more like Fall here and the leaves are beginning to change colors on the trees. The air has become cooler and brisker and the apartment is now bearable and even cozy and comforting. It will only become more so, but I did get a hint of this last night after coming home from my evening class last night. It's actually cold in my classrooms now, so sweaters have been a must! :)
I went back to Lompoc last weekend, home. Helped my family with some things. I had so much fun with my mom and stepdad, Jeff, and my Aunt Debbie. We had lunch together at Red Robin and laughed and had a great time. I love laughing. My Aunt Debbie told me something special that made us cry a little. And I hugged her. It was nice. Oh! I bought a zebra print rug at a garage sale in my aunt's neighborhood! It's awesome! haha... it's probably like, 7 feet long and 4 feet the other way (maybe three, I'm bad at estimating) and it was 20 bucks. It's being cleaned by my uncle and I am really excited to get it and use it! I pictured it in my own apartment one day. I am sharing one right now with Lizzy and Amy, but I it won't match. So for now I might try to make it work in my room here.
I have plenty of reading and homework to do that I don't really do. And plenty of labs to do for one research methods class that I do do. hehe So, my life right now is pretty consistently just school, homework when I need to do it, working sometimes, lol, and hanging out with my friends or chatting with them online for those that I don't get to see.
Oh yeah, and add to the picture lately missing New Zealand.
So spiritually, I'm wanting to cultivate a deeper and more consistent and dependent relationship with the Lord. I have been feeling stressed and weighted down in my spirit and chest lately, which makes me feel distant and not vulnerable to the Lord. It's kind of a bummer. And today I wanted to read in His Word, but I'm so frustrated that I don't know where to read. Because I have never finished reading the New Testament since I have never finished the book of Acts. It's not a big deal, just getting frustrated. I think I'm battling a bad attitude today.
