Missing you, tropical, lovely nation. i miss your warm breezes, your blue and clear water, your friendly fisherman, and generous feeding! :)
i miss you beautiful Fiji. one Fijian name brought a rush of nostalgia tonight. Your culture- warm and friendly. your beautiful words, your names, your dirt roads so bumpy and free and red. your dancing and singing citizens wearing friendly smiles of welcome and acceptance.
perhaps one day i'll get to smell your sweet aromas of tropical flowers passing by on the ride of a draft grazing my nose, and the musty appeal of yellow curry and spice in your open air markets, talking to merchants for a bargain or smile, or the lovely zesty scent of cocunut soap in gift stores, while braving the humid warmth.
perhaps one day i'll be prepared for another long stay, becoming aqcuiested to your ways, perhaps to teach and sing and dance like Fijians, reading to and playing your free and happy children.
i hope for this.
